The Hamilton Literary Awards is an annual program that recognizes and celebrates published authors from the Greater Hamilton Area (GHA) and Six Nations of the Grand River.
Hamilton Arts Council, in partnership with Event Sponsor, Hamilton Public Library, are thrilled to present the 29th annual Hamilton Literary Awards Ceremony on Monday, December 12, 2022. The Ceremony is being held in-person at our Venue Sponsor, Theatre Aquarius' Norman and Louise Haac Studio Theatre and will be recorded for post-event viewing by our Broadcast Sponsor, Cable 14. The event is from 7:00pm - 9:00pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm.

Guests of the Ceremony will hear excerpts from all Shortlisted Finalists, engage with arts organizations and Literary Awards Sponsors and discover the four Award Recipients for each category LIVE during the Ceremony! Categories include: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry and the Kerry Schooley Book Award.
