The City of Hamilton’s Placemaking, Public Art and Projects section is creating an Artist Directory of local artists experienced in street and mural art for 2024-2025. The goal of the Artist Directory is to expand the City’s awareness of local street and mural artists by creating a directory of interested artists who are available to work on City projects. City staff will consider artists in the directory for future projects that may have to be completed quickly, are considered temporary, and/or are smaller in scale.
Collected information will not be posted publicly. The directory will be shared with City staff and made available upon request to community organizations, businesses, and members of the public inquiring about local street and mural artists. This is not an application to a specific project and it will be up to each artist to negotiate the terms of work including payment if they are contacted.
Call For Artists. We invite local street and mural artists to add their information to the Artist Directory. We are looking for emerging and established artists with demonstrated experience designing and painting street art and murals.
Information can be found on the City of Hamilton website: www.hamilton.ca/StreetMuralArtists
