FrancoFEST Hamilton, the largest francophone arts and culture festival of Southern Ontario, will take place on June 21st to 23rd at Gage Park. We are hoping to work with local Indigenous artists to create a meaningful opening ceremony on June 21st between 5pm and 6pm, which aims to highlight the rich heritage as well as the contemporary cultural vibrancy of First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples living in the region.
Therefore, we are looking for performers willing to share their skills or art form with our audience: speakers, drummers, percussionists, singers, dancers, workshop facilitators and craft vendors. Honorarium and food will be provided; vendor fees will be waived for the day.

La FrancoFEST Hamilton célèbre la Journée nationale des peuples autochtones
La FrancoFEST Hamilton, le plus large festival artistique et culturel francophone du Sud de l’Ontario, se tiendra cette année du 21 au 23 juin au parc Gage. Nous aimerions engager des artistes autochtones locaux afin de créer une cérémonie d’ouverture le 21 juin, de 17h à 18h, qui met en valeur l’héritage et la richesse culturelle des membres des Premières Na8ons, Mé8s et Inuit vivant dans notre région. Nous cherchons donc des personnes ayant un talent, un artisanat ou des connaissances à partager avec notre public, que ce soit en conte, percussion, musique, chant, danse, facilita8on d’ateliers, conférence ou encore vente de créations artisanales.
