I am a filmmaker and writer based in Hamilton. I am Indigenous, but not all my work focuses on Indigenous themes. I have worked with at-risk youth and other at-risk populations for more than 20yrs, using the arts to help bring their voices and social issues to a public audience. Along with that work I also do various forms of arts education, focusing mostly on film and storytelling.
I also have done extensive work and teaching in the field of Media Theory, for which I have received municipal, provincial, and federal commendations. I also write a quarterly op-ed column for the Hamilton Community News, focusing on social and ethics-related topics. I'm currently the Board Chair of Arts for All, the charity and arts education branch of the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts.
I am also uncomfortable writing self-aggrandizing bios about myself and am much less awkward in person. At least that's what I choose to believe...
