Don't let the fact that they won a MAPLE BLUES AWARD in 2021 for "New Artist of the Year" deceive you into thinking that they're just another blues band. Far from it, their music is all original mid 60's style Rhythm'n'Blues. Think early Rolling Stones meets The Chambers Brothers meets The Muscle Shoal Swampers. Their live shows draw great reviews and have been promoted as "not to be missed" by numerous music journalists such as Kerry Doyle and Seismic Blues. Formed in Hamilton in 2018 by Paul Wootton and Stephen Foster they released their 1st album in early 2019 entitled "Screamin' Hoodoo R'n'B". Both Paul and Steve are accomplished songwriters and arrangers. After releasing that album they formed a stage band and began touring festivals and making club appearances.  With the release of their 2nd album "Stone Cold Groovers" in 2021 they were nominated and won a MAPLE BLUES AWARD. The album was well received and has had successful airplay on University and College radio all across Canada including airplay and interviews on great radio programs such as CBC's Saturday Night Blues w/Holger Petersen, At The Crossroads Blues Radio w/Brant Zwicker (the largest national and internationally syndicated Blues program in Canada) and Blues & Roots Radio w/Ken Wallis (also a national and internationally syndicated radio program). When Covid closed down the live music business around the world The MOJOS started their own internet TV station MOJOtv (spelled just like that) where they released live half hour concerts. LOWDOWN DIRTY MOJOS are currently recording their 3rd album which will be released summer 2023 and is expected to garner more MAPLE BLUES AWARD nominations.
