I studied art at York University in the '80s, illustration at Sheridan College in the '90s, and in 2019 finished a satisfying masters in Community Music at Wilfrid Laurier U, which has helped me integrate music making with art making. I play cello with the Burlington symphony and in various random acts of music - in 2023 will start a chamber cello group and see what kind of trouble we can get into. I've taught myself to make blankets, and in 2021 learned how to make my own pigments from natural materials. This is also extremely satisfying. I work in water-based media and music from my studio (SH242) at the Cotton Factory, my ink room on Gage Ave S and my wee cabin on Georgian Bay.
