Jacob Duarte Spiel is a 4-time CSA nominee with 10 years of writing experience in television, podcasts, videogames, digital comedy, and ad copywriting. Jacob created and wrote on 3 seasons of The Beaverton TV series, starting as a staff writer before being promoted to co-producer. His other TV projects include Frick, I Love Nature and Stay Tooned, both available on CBC Gem. He also writes/produces for Wrong Station, which is the most popular Canadian horror podcast currently running. He spent 7 years working for The Beaverton, Canada’s biggest comedy website, publishing over 300 articles. Jacob holds a BSc from the University of Toronto, where he completed a double major in both immunology and health and disease studies.
