I am a former army medic and international schoolteacher and the author of the novels NOTHING BUT LIFE (nominated for the 2022 White Pine Award), BOY (winner of the 2021 Kerry Schooley Award), and SAINTS, UNEXPECTED, as well as the forthcoming story collection CUT ROAD. My short fiction has won the Bristol Short Story Prize, the Fiddlehead Best Fiction Award, and the Lush Triumphant Fiction Award. I am a graduate of the Humber School for Writing and hold an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia.
