I am a former army medic and international schoolteacher and the author of the novels UNTHINKABLE (forthcoming in 2024), NOTHING BUT LIFE (nominated for the White Pine Award), BOY (winner of the Kerry Schooley Award), and SAINTS, UNEXPECTED, as well as the story collection CUT ROAD. My short fiction has won the Bristol Short Story Prize, the Fiddlehead Best Fiction Award, and the Lush Triumphant Fiction Award. I am a graduate of the Humber School for Writing and hold an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia. I am also the host of REJECTED CENTRAL, a podcast that seeks to elevate the rejection experience.
