Jacob Duarte Spiel is a 4-time CSA nominee with 10 years of writing experience in television, podcasts, videogames, digital comedy, and ad copywriting. Jacob created and wrote on 3 seasons of The Beaverton TV series, starting as a staff writer before being promoted to co-producer. His other TV projects include Frick, I Love Nature and Stay Tooned, both available on CBC Gem. He also writes/produces for the award-winning Wrong Station, one of the most popular Canadian horror podcasts ever. He started his career with 7 years as a writer and senior editor for The Beaverton, Canada’s biggest comedy website, where he wrote more than 300 articles and facilitated the training of many young comedy writers.
