Come join us at Our Home Your Home, where we celebrate community, connection, and belonging in a warm and welcoming environment!
Our Home Your Home - A live sound/video performance exploring our collective sense of Home. Followed by an open discussion on housing insecurity.
Bring a blanket to lay on, and to donate to Mission Services after the event.
The performance will infuse responses & statements collected from members of ACORN, the CMHA, and the public through sampling, code-based interpretation, and vocalisations. Each performance will be 20 minutes, followed by a 30 minute open discussion on housing insecurity with ACORN and CMHA representatives.
Participants will have the opportunity to quiet their mind and enter a deep listening state. The project is an attempt to create a unique space where audience participants can share elements of their housing situation in order that we might learn, cultivate deeper empathy, and show a greater level of care for our fellow humans. My neighbours, your neighbours.
Ticket proceeds go to VibraFusionLab for use of their space as we recognize the costs of maintaining a studio/venue. Thank you
