What is StorySave?

StorySave is a project of Storytellers of Canada-Conteurs du Canada (https://www.storytellers-conteurs.ca ) Canada’s national arts service organization for storytelling. The purpose of the project is to record the voices of tellers from the Canadian storytelling community who have a distinct repertoire and have made a significant contribution to the art form. These stories and an audio documentary about the teller, are then made available to listeners world-wide as part of a living legacy. At present we record a single album and several podcasts annually.

The StorySave Program Manager is responsible for production, marketing and promotion, distribution, budgeting, and fundraising for all StorySave programs and products. The manager reports to the SC-CC Board directly and on behalf of the StorySave Committee.

The StorySave Committee, which includes the Program Manager, sets the direction of the program. The Program Manager brings ideas, proposals, and recommendations to the committee for discussion. Decisions will be based on committee consensus. Opportunities to review the relationship between the Program Manager and the Committee will take place at least every 12 months.
