We’re starting a new project called The Lake Effect that explores our relationship with the land and are looking for new collaborators for a series of community activations to take place in Fall 2024.

We’re looking for artists to plan and execute one-off workshops or a series of workshops that can engage communities in the downtown core around themes of land sovereignty and climate change.

Maybe it’s a collaborative sculptural piece? Or a choral music development workshop? Parameters for proposals are broad but must be accessible to the community at large, specifically people who are new to art-making or experience barriers to art-making. The Open Heart team and our Lake Effect partners can collaborate with you to develop an activation that fits within the context we work in and the communities we most often engage.
