HFTco’s Hamilton Cold Reads may be looking for YOU! Part of the Frost Bites Double-Header, this brand new event is a great opportunity for local writers and actors to showcase their work, collaborate with new pals, and connect with the city’s thriving indie arts scene. ⁠

How does Hamilton Cold Reads work? ⁠
⁠
Writers submit scripts of various formats—short plays, film scenes, TV scripts, or sketches—running 5-12 minutes. If your piece is selected by our jury, you show up an hour before doors open on Feb 13 and cast your script from a pool of eager and talented actors who show up ready to rock. That’s right – actors are cast on the spot just before the event!⁠

And if you’re looking for a chance to keep your acting skills sharp, try something new, or hang out with local writers, performers, and arts lovers, sign up as an actor! On-site sign-ups for actors will also be allowed.⁠
