Stephanie is an award-winning theatre artist, educator, and emerging arts leader in Hamilton, Ontario. Known for her innovative approach to contemporary theatre and dedication to empowering young artists, Stephanie has established a dynamic career that bridges creation, performance, and arts education.
On the Hamilton stage, Stephanie's most recent projects include Hamlet, Every Brilliant Thing, Whale Fall, Never Not Once, Mary's Wedding and Venus in Fur. She is the Artistic Director of Rook's Theatre, which has quickly become an important part of the city's theatre ecology. Her work has been recognized with the inaugural Cutting Edge - Innovation Award for the 2020 Gilded Hammer Awards.
Stephanie is a highly sought-after teaching artist, specializing in fostering young talent. As Head of the HCA Theatre School at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, she's developed programming that emphasizes collaboration, authenticity, and self-expression. By ensuring that spaces remain safe, supportive, and encouraging, students of all ages are given the opportunity to thrive. Her students have gone on to train at post-secondary institutions including NYU Tisch, George Brown, Sheridan College, RADA, and Guildhall. In addition to teaching, Stephanie produces and directs up to 12 live performances in the HCA Theatre School throughout the year.
As an emerging arts leader, Stephanie serves as the Associate Artistic Director at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, and one of its charitable arms, HCA Dance + Theatre.
