Reporting to the Director of Artistic Operations and Planning, the Music Librarian will source and provide musical material needed by the COC Orchestra, COC Chorus, soloists and staff, including, but not limited to, the following: conducting research on versions and editions of operas, and reporting these findings to those who need the information; negotiating the performing rights for non-public-domain materials; negotiating the rental of materials from publishers; arranging for the purchase of musical materials; and providing instrumentation information to those who need it.
