Whether writing it or reading it, story can be a wonderful path to understanding, expressing and relaxation. My goal is to inspire a passion for pages in young people so they have access to this therapeutic and enjoyable pass time.

I've written more than 40 books. Revenge on the Fly, a historical fiction about the 1912 Hamilton Spectator fly catching contest, has inspired over 35,000 readers in Colombia and many more in South Korea.  I've taught writing courses at Sheridan College in Oakville and Living Arts in Mississauga  and given workshops across Canada. As a former features editor of Today's Parent Toronto, I've coached emerging writers and I continue to mentor and blue pencil other authors' work. Recently I received a Platinum Jubilee Award for my part in compiling and editing Writing the Rollercoaster, Stories of our Pandemic Experience. Inspired by Hamilton Youth (Now You) Poets, my next book Blue to the Sky (April 2024) features a girl who overcomes her food allergy-driven fear of public speaking through poetry.

Lives in Burlington, works in Hamilton with school visits, researching novels set in Hamilton
