Ever watch a funny sketch on SNL or Baroness Von Sketch and think to yourself, “I wanna do that.” Well, here’s your chance!
Learn how to write hilarious scenes with award-winning veteran comedy writer Bob Kerr (This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Still Standing, Comedy Inc). Over this 8-week course, learn key concepts and skills to create your very own sketches. Through brainstorming ideas, exploring comedic structure and point-of-view, you and your classmates will build towards writing and performing your final class performance in front of a live audience of your friends and family.
This class is open to all skill levels – whether you’re new to the game or looking to sharpen your skills, this class is for you!
Classes run Tuesdays 6pm – 9pm, starting Tuesday, October 18 . Graduation show will be held Thursday, December 8. Classes and final show will take place at Staircase Theatre (27 Dundurn Street North).
