"What Time is this Place?" presents a solo-exhibition of photography-based works by Sylvia Galbraith. Integration of a fascination with early photographic processes and interest in temporal relationships between buildings and people informed a new body of work Galbraith began during recent residencies in Newfoundland. Using camera obscura and pinhole techniques in historic outport buildings, Galbraith’s projections interweave the contemporary state of these built environments with exterior views of the surrounding coastal landscape that have remained constant.
