Strange Happenings & Rare Findings at The Cotton Factory

April 12 at 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join Emily Andrews for the opening reception of her solo show, "Strange Happenings and Rare Findings"! If you like super groovy art in a historic industrial space, this is the show for you. The show will feature a collection of paintings and collages with an opening reception on Friday April 12th from 5-9 PM in the CoWork Gallery (studio 301) at The Cotton Factory. The exhibit is on display until May 4, 2024.

Strange Happenings and Rare Findings is a collection of surrealistic oil paintings that explore an idyllic alternate dimension through unlikely and curious scenarios. Influenced by the process and techniques of collage, this series is often inspired by imagery found in advertisements from the 1950s-1970s, as well as some of my own original photography. Through themes of time, space, technology, and alternate universes, these paintings suggest the strange happenings and unexplained scenes that may be occurring outside of our realm.
