Explore the theme of LOVE in this mindful, centering, and creative workshop. Of course, February brings about Valentine’s day. But in this workshop, you will be guided to explore the many different facets of love – most importantly self-love. How can we put ourselves first, and how does that in turn support us to be the best we can be in our relationships with others we love?
In this workshop, you will be guided in meditation, bringing attention to areas of your life where you feel love, and where you can cultivate love for yourself. We will move through creating blind contour drawings of ourselves or someone we love. The beauty of blind contour is that there is no skill required! You do not need to be a portrait artist, but simply open to the process of creating. We will integrate fun ways of playing with our artwork to help take the pressure off of the product, and drop into the process of creating. We will cultivate our sense of self-love through this challenging but rewarding workshop!
This workshop is facilitated by Art Therapist Kathryn Tousaw, RP (Qualifying), DTATI (Cand.). Kathryn brings an awareness of art media and the creative process and how creativity can help us connect to ourselves, each other, and the world around us. We are all creative beings when we can open ourselves to the process. This workshop is completely beginner friendly and requires no previous skill or experience. Kathryn will guide you in all the steps needed to participate in the creative process.
