Explore your creative self and experience creativity as a mindfulness practice. Grow your ability to bring creativity and mindfulness into your daily activities. This interactive and experiential workshop offers creative practices to cultivate curiosity, an attitude of open inquiry, and a willingness to stay with the process without expectation. You will be guided to:
Tap into your inner creativity
Engage your playful self with simple creative activities
Experience meditation using art
Create your own mandala as a focus for meditation
Practice bringing mindfulness into each part of the creative process
Explore mindful attitudes through expressing your creative self
Gain an experiential understanding of the connections between creative practice and mindfulness practice
We’ll use a variety of media including music, visual, movement, and writing in a non-judging, respectful environment where no artistic experience or perceived skill is needed. Bring any of the following with you: paper, pen or pencil, and any markers, pencil crayons, crayons, paints, or pastels that you have available.
