How to Collaborate & Write Great Songs (March Break Tech Week)

Melissa Dutch & Matt King | Wednesday March 13 | 1:00 – 2:30pm | Ages 13 – 18

Join producer Matt King (Chance the Rapper, Big Sean, EST Gee) and songwriter Melissa Dutch as they demonstrate tips and tricks to collaborate with others and write a great song. Experience the process and write lyrics and melodies together!

Location: The HMC Centre for Performance and Education at The Gasworks (141 Park Street North, downtown Hamilton)

Cost: $15 per workshop

About March Break Music Tech Week:

Looking for something to do over March Break? Enter HMC’s Soundhaus Studios and learn from local music makers. Learn the basics of DJing, and the top tools to make music at home. Co-write a song or make a beat from scratch with professional songwriters and producers, and get a taste of the upcoming Musical Futures Production Program from HMC.

Workshops are 60-90 minutes in length and for ages 8 – 18. No experience necessary!
