Explore the theme of Harvest in this mindful, centering, and creative workshop. With October being the month of thanksgiving, we are reminded to take time to consider what we are harvesting within our lives. Practicing gratitude can be one way of spending time with all that we have in our lives. Practicing gratitude has been associated with many positive mental health outcomes including feeling increased positive emotions, being able to soak in and enjoy positive experiences, manage stressful experiences, and value our relationships (Harvard Health, 2021).
In this workshop, you will be guided in meditation, bringing attention to areas of gratitude in your life. We will then move through creating gratitude grounding stones. The stones are both a source of creativity and reflection on gratitude in your life, and will serve as a reminder to practice gratitude which you can place somewhere in your home.
This workshop is facilitated by Art Therapist Kathryn Tousaw, RP, DTATI. Kathryn brings an awareness of art media and the creative process and how creativity can help us connect to ourselves, each other, and the world around us. We are all creative beings when we can open ourselves to the process. This workshop is completely beginner friendly and requires no previous skill or experience. Kathryn will guide you in all the steps needed to participate in the creative process.
