Join us for this evening talk as Hamilton based painter and DVSA instructor, James Gummerson, shares more about his creative journey and artmaking process. James studied at Sheridan College of Applied Arts and Technology. During his career as an illustrator, he began to focus on building a painting practice and within a few years he started exhibiting and showing his work in galleries and shows across Canada. In 2020, he was invited to participate in the TV show “Landscape Artist of the Year Canada” featured on CBC and was the wild card winner of episode one and runner up in the finals. Over the years, his work has been featured in major publications and has won numerous awards.
