October 5 at 10:00 am - October 6 at 5:00 pm

The 27th Annual Dundas Studio is on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 5 studios locations and 33 artists in and around Dundas. Admission is free.
The theme for the 2024 Dundas Studio Tour is COMMUNITY and how we, as artists, acknowledge, experience, and celebrate COMMUNITY.
Artistic practice is about community. It is about association. As artists we learn from friends, families, our own local communities, and importantly, from other artists. Our art is constantly growing, evolving, and changing through the ideas and skills gained from our varied community associations. The 2024 Dundas Studio Tour is a celebration of the importance of this community catalyst in the creative process. Our ongoing associations with groups, guilds, and schools, inspires and ignites the creative process as art is a living thing that grows and changes over time, constantly evolving and changing through community inspiration.
Come and experience the autumn colour and charm of Dundas on the 27th Annual Dundas Studio Tour. with us artistic excellence. Celebrate with us the importance of COMMUNITY in the artistic process.
Treat yourself, or a friend.... meet the maker .... order a custom work of art ... find the perfect gift......enjoy the beauty and energy of the studios and the colours of fall in our historic Valley Town. While you are visiting, plan to enjoy a meal at one of the many fine restaurants Dundas has to offer.
Come on by! It’s fabulous, and admission is free. Save the date. The Dundas Studio Tour is always the weekend before Thanksgiving.

- Woodturner

- To give permanency to something that was destined for the fire or decay is hugely satisfying. All my material is derived from purposefully harvested or naturally fallen timber and never destroyed solely for my craft. The revealed "imperfections" in the wood as the turning process progresses, are embraced and every effort is made to incorporate them into the final piece. Most of the pieces I make are functional, but I always endeavour to add artistic flair as appropriate and when the material allows.
