This free monthly program is an opportunity for artists in any medium to be inspired by the sights, sounds, and smells of our beautiful garden.
The Historic Kitchen Garden at Dundurn Castle features 1.4 acres of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers grown in the 19th century style. Charming views, symmetrical paths, shady orchards, and heirloom plantings offer plenty of inspiration for the brush or pen.
Artists are invited to visit the Historic Kitchen Garden from 10 AM to 4 PM, to work in the media of their choosing. The program is the last Thursday of the month from May to September: May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29, and September 26.
Participants are to provide all their own materials, including appropriate sun protection, seating, and water bottles. Visitors should be aware that most of the garden is full sun. Admission to the garden and this event is free.
