The City of Hamilton is proud to present a new program this summer that will help bring live music back to our streets and public spaces. The Summer Concert Series features 10 free outdoor concerts with each concert hosted in a different location throughout the city.
On Saturday July 16 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm join us for a concert featuring performances by local musicians Martin Brothers Collective and Piper Hayes.
1:00pm Martin Brothers Collective
Darin & Jeremy Martin have been performing live since they were children. Together, the Martin Brothers are highly regarded for their harmony-laced vocal melodies and heart-on-your-sleeve song writing, which is creatively woven throughout their performances. They have a tremendous ability to connect with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Listeners appreciate their thought-provoking and self-reflective openness, shared at times through humorous storytelling and anecdotes. https://www.instagram.com/martinbrotherscollective
2:00pm Piper Hayes
Piper Hayes reminds us of why we go to see live music. Her songwriting is free and fiercely personal; as if it’s been running in the woods, washing in cold water, and howling with wolves. Her immersive storytelling provides context and familiarity, drawing the audience into the conversation, onto their feet and out of their heads. She is a two time nominee of the OAC’s Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award, a somatic voice educator and an advocate for mental health and social change. She will help you remember how to believe. http://pipersings.com
While in the neighbourhood enjoying the music, make sure to stay to explore the unique restaurants and shops in the area. This concert is presented in partnership with the Downtown Dundas BIA.
