Lil’ America will take you on a ride through her love of Brazilian, Colombian and Afro-Cuban rhythms to Bolivian, Chilean , Salvadoran, and the beautiful sounds of the Mexican Indigenous peoples. Luckystickz was born with a passion and rhythm and is a Canadian Singer, Songwriter, Steelpan aficionado, and alumni of Berklee College of Music. Dejehan Hamilton a.k.a. Luckystickz is a renaissance artist in a digital age. Nesquik are inspired by an array of genres and artists, with every note meaning something to this group, all while maintaining a groove to which any audience can vibe. Keith Silver delivers honest lyrics and beautiful melodies as he shares the power of music and how it can stir the soul.
Artists were selected by a panel of music industry experts including; DeShaun Jones returning to work with Hamilton Arts Council in his role as the music series host and curator; Lisa LaRocca, Director of Operations at local independent label Sonic Unyon Records; and Lucious Brown, an award nominated/platinum selling Canadian hip-hop and R&B producer from Toronto, Ontario.
Supported by the Ontario Arts Council, with sponsorship from the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), the BIPOC hArt Music Series will emphasize the importance of prioritizing diversity in Hamilton’s artistic representation in order to nurture a healthy and inclusive community.
