73’ to Infinity: The Road to Hip-Hop, is a dance series showcasing the various genres of music, and their accompanying dance styles, that led to the emergence of Hip-Hop Culture, and how it continues to evolve. Jazz, Blues, Rock n Roll, Soul Music, Motown R&B, Latin Boogoloo, Funk and many more have contributed to the sounds, style and movement of a culture celebrating 50 years this August.
Featuring dance, live DJ’s The Brown Brothers, Dj Jooce, and live musical performances from Emcee’s Elley Jeeze, LTtheMonk, Jr Bebble, neo Jazz/Soul and Funk band Grooves and Gratitude, 73’ to Infinity will bring the essence of the block party to outdoor locations across Hamilton. This is a free family event for all ages curated by Josh Taylor, Defining Movement Dance and presented by the City of Hamilton.
