Volunteers are absolutely essential to Hamilton Winterfest. Each year we engage upwards of 100 volunteers to assist with executing the festival and would love if you shared this opportunity with your great community network! We are looking for volunteers to help with site set-up, as well as during the festival itself. Volunteers do everything from installing artworks during Tech Week to selling hot chocolate at the Winterfest HUB. With piles of special events, planned throughout the festival, having a strong volunteer team is so essential!
Not only is this a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the winter season, but we’ll make sure that volunteers stay warm and toasty with hand warmers, warming breaks, bottomless hot chocolate, and an official handmade Winterfest toque! This year we have also ensured to have a heated indoor lounge and indoor washrooms accessible for volunteers.
Hamilton Winterfest is a co-production between The City of Hamilton, local arts non-profit Cobalt Connects, and a long list of community partners who bring specialized programming to life throughout the city. This year's festival will take place throughout the city from February 2nd to February 20th, with the main festival HUB operating between February 10th- 20th. The HUB will completely transform the rooftop of Jackson Square, with numerous art and light installations, amazing performances and concerts, delicious food and even a skating rink!
So be sure to recruit your friends and join us as Hamilton Winterfest volunteers this season! It is not only a great way to get active and beat the winter blues, but a great opportunity to get involved with local arts while also supporting your community!
Complete this simple application survey and Jillian Harris, our Volunteer Coordinator (email@example.com) will get back to you ASAP. Check out the Hamilton Winterfest Magazine to learn more about this incredible and fun-filled event!
