I am Michael Mortley a Trinidad and Tobago Dance artist. Trained in a variety of dance styles. Styles like Trinidadian Folk, Ballet, Indian Classical (Kathak) and modern contemporary, I have used these styles of dance to express how I feel about a particular topic. I am also a photographer, and these tools are what I have blended to create works of art that has elements of moving bodies within a large-scale installation. My work balances between a personal and historical line. My vision is to create work that speaks to audiences on many levels through a unique way of moving.
