An active member of the arts community in the Greater Hamilton Area for 40+ years, MLH has been the recipient of numerous local, national and international awards and accolades for her innovative and insightful 'local' artworks. From the rigidity of typeface design to the fluidity of film-making, Lindsay has explored and mastered a number of different disciplines to express her unique perspective as 'a female working in the arts from southern Ontario, Canada'. A published and award-winning author and poet, a much lauded and prize-winning Canadian fine furniture designer/maker, a documented and exhibited pinhole photographer, Lindsay enjoys sharing her 'objects' with others. - "My job is to produce." - During the 1980s and 1990s, Lindsay also created a number of works 'on commission' for clients around the world. Today, while still exhibiting locally, she sells from her standing inventory of 2-D artworks and only accepts 'commissions' if they appeal to her evolving and broad sensibilities. Her focus now is adapting her third novel, TRILLIUM, into a series for international broadcast, and developing additional electronic musical works. Painting will return, but for now, writing is the focus. For a full list of her repertoire and accomplishments, please see her blog site - and/or - contact the artist directly for a copy of her C.V.
