A writer of personal essays after decades of lesson plans and curriculum. My 90-min/day practice helps me make sense of the world and my place in it while keeping an eye on the rush-hour traffic outside my window. Two collections of essays (published in 2019, 2024) are finding their way to readers, libraries, and book clubs. A few opinion pieces (and many letters to the editor!) can be found in The Globe and Mail, The Hamilton Spectator. Grist for my mill includes hiking, walking dogs, volunteering at a hospice, caring for grandchildren, and singing in a pop choir.
