My wife Paulette and I have lived and worked in Hamilton for 40 years and raised our 3 children here, a year ago we were blessed with our first grandchild, our granddaughter Connor. We love the growing literary, theatrical, musical, and visual arts pulse of the city, regularly attending events like the Art Crawl, or local venues to enjoy them here in Hamilton. Football brought us from Vancouver to the Hammer, where I played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for 10 years (1984-93), winning a Grey Cup in 1986. After my playing days ended, I taught for 30 years, and coached football at McMaster over a span of 25 years. Throughout my life, I have enjoyed reading, writing, drawing, and painting. Now in my retirement from teaching and coaching, I finally have the time to focus on my passion for the arts. I recently published my memoir Taming Mad Dog, after publishing my children's book The Bent Spoon a few years ago. Currently, as “empty nesters,” I'm establishing my art studio at home.
