Hamilton Arts Council

Founded in 1969 by artists, politicians, and community members, Hamilton Arts Council was incorporated in 1973. We are one of the oldest community arts councils in Ontario.

Hamilton’s Arts Council is committed to continuous improvement through an ongoing process of evaluation and adaptation. This includes integrating equity, diversity, and accessibility into the ongoing strategic direction, planning, programming and relationships of the organization.

Mandate: Connecting Artists / Creating Opportunity / Inspiring Change

Our Vision: We envision a dynamic arts community that is innovative, impactful, diverse, and professionally sustainable.

Our Mission: We advocate for the arts as integral to a healthy community, and provide inclusive opportunities to build connection and sustainability.
