Florence (Skretkowicz) Sage grew up in Hamilton in the Delta area, and now lives in Astoria Oregon on the Pacific coast. She currently is poetry columnist for a regional monthly (Hipfishmonthly.com), host of a monthly poetry mic, occasionally a poetry workshop teacher, and a poetry judge. Her books are Nevertheless: Poems From the Gray Area, 2014, and The Man Who Whistled, The Woman Who Wished: A Polish-Canadian Story, 2021. Her third poetry collection is What to Do with Night, 2023. She has a B.A. from McMaster, an M.A. from New Brunswick, and an M.Ed. from Montana State University, with doctoral coursework completed in English Language and Literature at UBC, and has been a journalist on a small daily, and a college professor in psychology and philosophy.
