Kitchener was my home for the first half of my journey. An unexpected turn of events landed me in Hamilton which has been my home for the second half of my journey, so far. As a kid I spent countless hours with paper, paints, markers and glue building and creating things my parents felt obligated to stick on the fridge. Like many young artists of my youth, I was praised for my art but steered into a more "dependable" line of work and I became a graphic artist. Fast forward through a marriage, two kids and several cities and countless JOBS (jay-oh-bees) ; I am now fortunate to be able to spend most of my days creating art both on the computer  for clients across North America and with paints, pencils and pens for people who love landscapes and wildlife as much as I do.

I call this thing a journey, because its the journey that matters in the end.  I'm very happy that my journey has been much like a meandering river, an unmarked trail through a forest, a gravel road winding through towns and open fields. There's been so much to take in, and there is so much more yet to follow. My work -  my art -  reflects my experiences, my values and my perceptions of my world.

In addition to my own arts practice I have planned and organized 2 online art auctions for local artists who shared sales proceeds with Welcome Inn Community Centre and in 2019 I also created and organize the Hamilton Ontario Plein Air Artists.  We meet weekly at various locations in the greater Hamilton area to chat about art and life and to paint the scenes before us in the tradition of the Group of Seven. November 2023 we hosted in partnership with Welcome Inn Community Centre a successful first year end show and sale. Spring 2024 we plan to host our first plein air festival. Join us for weekly painting meetups.
